Have you tried the crazy “starvation” diets, signed up for gym membership, started running and done the crunches…And still that roll of stubborn fat around your tummy just won’t budge.
There are several types and reasons for weight gain. Understanding these are key to regaining control and losing the centimeters
Types of weight gain?
•Weight gain can result from an increase in body fluid, muscle mass, or fat.
Fluid retention: An increase in body fluid can come from medications, fluid and salt retention, intravenous fluid infusion, kidney or heart failure.
Muscle Mass:  An increase in muscle mass is commonly seen with exercising
Fat: An increase in body fat is commonly seen as a result of diet or lack of exercise as the body converts muscle to fat. Excessive weight gain can be a function of environmental (diet, exercise, lifestyle, etc.), hormonal, and inherited (genetic) factors in varying degrees.

What Causes Weight Gain?
•Obvious reasons for weight gain are taking in more calories than usual or reducing the amount of physical activity in your life. However, some people seem to gain weight even when they are eating and exercising the same as always. Let's look deeper at possible reasons for weight gain.
You're exercising, but not in a way that’s benefiting your body - You are either exercising too much or you need to mix it up a bit and give the body a bit of a shock. Enjoy a variety of workout techniques: weight training, Pilates, yoga and interval training. Quick and hard bursts are good. And weight training is very helpful to raise your metabolism.
Your digestion and absorption is not optimal - You are not what you eat; you are what you digest and absorb! The bacteria that lies in our gut helps us to fight disease, process our food. These nutrients need to be absorbed and transported via the circulatory system. Poor blood circulation leads to poor absorption and more fat deposits
liver is sluggish – If your diet contains large amounts of alcohol, coffee and
•sugar, you may be putting great strain on your liver and it struggles to process substances/ toxins/ hormones efficiently. This leads to toxic build up & will inevitably cause weight gain.
Not Enough Sleep - If you're not sleeping, you have more chances to indulge in late night snacking. This is obvious. However, there's another reason lack of sleep might be adding on the pounds: biochemical changes in your body resulting from sleep deprivation can make you hungrier and leave you feeling less full after eating.
Stress - Cortisol, the so-called "stress hormone," increases in our body when we're stressed out. This hormone, in turn, increases our appetite. Add to that the tendency to reach for comfort foods at times of stress, and you have a perfect opportunity for weight gain.
Steroids- such as prednisone are well-known causes of weight gain due to fluid retention and increased appetite. The amount of weight gain depends both on the dose of the drug and the length of time it is taken. Steroids can also cause a temporary change in body fat distribution, with increased fat in the face, back of the neck, or the abdomen.
Hypothyroidism - Symptoms of an underactive thyroid gland include tiredness, feeling cold, and gaining weight. Having too low levels of thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism) slows your metabolism and increases the chance you'll gain weight. Hypothyroidism can be treated with medications
Menopause or Hormone Fluctuations - Most women gain some weight during menopause due to a number of reasons. Aging slows the metabolism, so weight gain is likely if your dietary habits remain the same. Changes in lifestyle, like exercising less, can also play a role. Menopause can also affect the location of fat deposits in the body, increasing the likelihood of accumulating fat around the waist
Whatever the cause - desperate attempts to lose weight can be so frustrating. Despite your best attempts - your body continues to ignore your quest to tone-up and slim-down.
Not any more…
Liposonix is the most effective non-invasive treatment to address the cause of fat accumulation - for complete and permanent fat destruction.
